As a collector and dealer, I am interested in acquiring stamp collections.
In my experience over the past ten years, I have bumped into several
different situations with collectors. The saddest is, of course, when the
collector suddenly dies, and the family has little idea of how to dispose of
the collection of a lifetime. If you are ever interested in disposing of
your collection before that happens, I would certainly like to have the
chance to talk with you.
The other situation is that collectors' interests often change over the
years. Do you have any collections or extensive accumulations that you
simply are no longer interested in? If this is the case, you might want to
consider selling part of your collection in order to continue to finance
your ability to make purchases in your newer areas of interest, or just to
clean out your closet, etc. I would be very willing to consider accepting
your material on consignment, for resale through Country Collections. This
kind of arrangement can work out extremely well as you are able to dispose
of your stamp collection at prices that more closely reflect retail values.
You benefit by not having to sell your collection at extremely low prices.
It can be sold at retail with a small commission. In any case,
outright purchase or taking your material on consignment for resale are options
